Birthday

Yesterday was the boss's birthday so everything was put on hold for a day out. fair dos the weather is spectacular at the moment, and we drove to Hampton Court gardens in Hope Under Dinmore

We, unusually for us avoided alcohol and had a pleasant stroll around the grounds before nipping off to Brockhampton

This is one of her favourite places and we enjoyed the late autumn sun whilst idly wandering why a C15th manor house has a sky dish poking out of the back.

In the evening we went to our fave restaurant in Ludlow

The meal and the welcome was as good as ever. Housemate arrived with her take out to pick us up at 10.

Today was dog washing day, DJ enjoyed the experience immensely and lay down relishing the pampering. Ari however was a different proposition and in the spirit of inclusivity I ended up as wet as he. He was particularly indignant when I tried to rinse him off

Rooster looks in fine fettle for the weekend, he had his final hoof trim this morning, is having a clip tomorrow and will be in top form for his 50 miles on Saturday. There will be no more posts until Sunday as we will be travelling to Mid Wales with him.

One of my two tips won on Tuesday and today I expect Dunowen Point from the McCain stable to win the 2 50 at Bangor today.

See you next week
